There are several different cruises you can take. Most set off from Falmouth. |
Treat yourself to a meal at the Ganges Restaurant or Castaways Oyster Bar or have a full English breakfast with an unrivalled sea view at the Mylor Harbour Café. And if you want to get out on the water, even a lack of expertise is no excuse - they have sailing schools, boat hire, skippered charter and a welcoming yacht club to call on for tuition or advice. Or you could wander further afield on the coast paths to Flushing and Mylor Bridge villages. |

Depends on the weather and tides. They usually cruise through the sheltered Fal Estuary into the wooded creeks of the Carrick Roads, passing a hive of river activity, traditional oyster dredging, gig racing and classic sail boats weaving through the harbour traffic. You may view seals, dolphins or the elusive basking shark (in season), the world’s second largest fish. There’s a diary on the site which tells you what they’ve seen recently which includes a Fin whale and a Minke whale this year. Site was down in December but promises to be up again soon. |

"Between the Land and the Sea" is a fair description of the Roseland, one of the most beautiful parts of Cornwall. The best way to experience the beauty of this peninsula is by water and it provides some of the best sailing and canoeing areas in the country. Hire canoes, dinghies, motor boats or get some tuition. |
